So I'm trying to not sound bitter here. Don't get me wrong, I love dA. It's given me a chance to find artist friends, it's helped me improve my work and gain more exposure. But looking through the photography section something starts to irk me. It seems as though 90% of the portraits are mundane, uninspired self-portraits. If you're going to take pictures of yourself, at least put some effort into it. Take a look at the work of Cindy Sherman, pretty much all she did was self-portraits and she knew what she was doing. So I have finally gotten settled enough after driving thirty-three hundred miles to live with The Wonderfun Penny Nelson. So I am no longer an Ontarian, I am... an albertan. And while some would shudder at this fact I merely cringe. It's alright out here, there are some cool things going on but everyone seems to take themselves pretty seriously here. Atleast it's not Calgary. Haha, oh my but seriously though life is still very good out here I'm taking more pictures that I have in a long time and getting to be with Penny which I have waited so long for. It took me forever to find a place that actually did their own developing on site. Lucky it

Lately I have been sorting through some of my old digital photos. Mostly from India and it feels rather strange to me. Looking through all of these old memories, remembering the days that I took them and everything that surrounded their creation. I find it really hard to delete old pictures off of my computer. Even if they aren't that good, it's still strange to delete them. I find it strange with digital photography the way that images become so transient. You can completely end an image's existence with the click of a button. Whereas with film the negatives will still always be around even if the print it destroyed. You can't delete negativ
